Listly can be used for creating lists, polls, questions, surveys, bookmarks, and more.

Teachers may choose to use it fore instructional purposes or to improve their classroom management.

QUORA

Quora is all about inquiry and asking questions

DIGITAL STORYTELLING

- We brainstormed using Wordle or Tagxedo.

We used words that describe what our stories will be about and printed that as a ticket.

- We used different story boarding sites to help us begin planning our digital stories

- Discussed what applications we could use to create our digital stories

  • Photostory (PC)

  • iPhoto or iMovie (Mac)

  • CAST Bookbuilder (Online)

  • Storybird (Online)

  • Storyjumper (Online)

COOL TOOLS ASSIGNMENT

- Quickly reviewed what options are available for the Cool Tools Assignment (see Cool Tools Assignment tab in Wiki)

SCREENCASTING

- Went over screencasting

A screencast is a digital recording of computer screen output, also known as a video screen capture, often containing audio narration.

Although other technology for screencasting exists, the use of Jing (free download) is highly recommended

DIIGO

-We met with our 9 o'clock partner and discussed the uses of Diigo in the classroom using TodaysMeet

"TodaysMeet is a good way to have a quick convo in a relatively quiet place."

  • Quick assessment measure

  • Live discussion platform

Here is a link to our discussion:http://todaysmeet.com/DiigoUse

- We learned and practiced posting sticky notes on Diigo after watching Jodi's demo
